Didi is not a boobie addict and when there is new environment and new things to play, he nurses even less!! Thankfully night time he still latch to sleep.

Oh well back to power pumping. I also stopped cos my old freestyle died on me.

Luckily an old uni friend pass me her freestyle too.

Ohh since didi pass milk muffin challenge, this weekend we shall attempt the milk pancake challenge.

Why pancake? It's because the milk is only lightly cooked at about 7-8 mins as compared to muffin where it's completed nuked at 30 mins 180 degrees C.

The milk protein in the pancake hasn't much chance to be denatured and broken down completely. So we will see how.

Gold standard to pass oral cows milk challenge is to be able to tolerate fresh cow milk without it being cooked/baked.

His eczema looks like its flaring again behind his knees and fold of his wrist and ankles.

He's been pointing to it and rubbing on it.

Milk Muffin Challenge

Subject matter being tested today for milk challenge.

Shown to the patient 1 (one) baked muffin equivalent to 42mls of milk/muffin.

Patient did not object.

Gave a bite. Initially looked like he had 2-3 red dots.

Experiment to be halted but patient kept screaming for more muffins.

Since red dots near mouth did not seem to be increasing, investigator continued giving the muffin.

At this time, 1/4 of muffins ingested.

Zrytec ever ready at the side.

Erghhh…planning on what to challenge our kids first. It's tricky because:
1) korkor milk allergy seems worse than his egg allergy
2) didi's egg allergy is worse than his milk.

So, which one should I challenge what with?

And have to keep both separated at that time.

Fish Allergy

Recently as far as 1 month we started realising that didi is having reactions to fish.

We thought it's a cross contaminate to something that was in the fish. Maybe it's the butter used to fry his fish in? But lamb fried in butter, he had no issues.

Just google the list and so far he has reacted to:
Anchovies
Cod
Salmon
Snapper
"Toman" aka Giant snakehead

Previously he was ok with consuming fish. Now he reacts mildly with rashes near his mouth and he starts scratching his neck, arms elbow

Knee creases, and back of ears.

This is the second allergy that presents itself later on even after skin prick test was negative.

The first negative SPT was cows milk protein and when I introduced cheese to him, he broke out in hives and eyes almost shut.

Sigh!

I've got to tell the dietician the next I see her to ask her to refer to the allergist.

I want to redo his skin prick test and then his blood IgE level.

Found a way to harvest natures energy for entertainment.

Isaac bought his own toy with his own money

Wanted to record this down. Today, Isaac counted all his coins in his coin bank and took them out to buy his own toy.

Isaacs first time buying his own toy with his own money that he has saved up.

This is Carolyn, the very nice Jie Jie who counted all of Isaacs coins to pay for his toys.

Cashier handing him his purchase.

Think he was quite proud of himself for choosing his toys and paying for it.

Look didi, look at my new toy.

Was it worth the $19.90 it was paid for?

I don't think so because it's such a simple toy but he really wanted it.

It was his choice and he paid good money for it and I could tell he was really happy.

Actually for $29.90 (which he actually had) he could have bought a Lego junior batman car which I felt was more worth it and more cool than this toy.

I did tell him he could get the Lego cos he had enough money but he said he wanted this first.

So this Paw Patrol Chase we bought.

I won't be hearing "I want to go toy shop and buy toys" for a while now.

He knows he has used up most of his coins to get that toy.

Must drill into him that the next toy he wants, he's got to earn it again. I think this will take him another year. Haha. But good, teach him patience and delayed gratification.

Also self satisfaction of being able to chose and pay for his own toy.
